Building a Generation of Creative Thinkers at Scratch

brand experience designer

As a Brand Designer for Scratch, I had the privilege of being part of the world's largest online coding community for children and teens. Scratch and ScratchJr offer young creators the platform to design their own interactive games, stories, and animations, fostering a global community of creativity and learning.

Objective

My objective was to ensure that the Scratch experience remained inclusive and welcoming to all, empowering individuals from diverse backgrounds to engage with the platform as both a product and a creative learning movement.

Approach

Understanding the importance of accessibility and inclusivity, I focused on creating a brand presence that resonated with people of all ages and backgrounds. Through thoughtful design choices and user-centric approaches, I aimed to foster a sense of belonging within the Scratch community.

Impact

By maintaining a welcoming and empowering brand experience, Scratch continues to inspire young creators worldwide. This project not only allowed me to contribute to the creative learning movement but also reinforced Scratch's position as a platform that empowers individuals from all wlks of life to explore and express their creativity through coding.

Scratch Day Around the World

Scratch Day is a global network of events where people gather to celebrate ScratchJr and Scratch, the free creative coding platform and online community for kids. Scratch Day events bring together young people from the Scratch and ScratchJr communities to share projects, learn from each other, and welcome newcomers
